More Sh*t My Kid Says

There is so much said by my kid on a daily basis that simply baffles the mind and wearies the heart. Parenting is definitely not for the faint of heart!

I'm stymied. Maybe I'll find the words later to distill this afternoon into a concise "More Sh*t My Kid Says" posting.

Anyone out there have any similar experiences? Please do share!

The party of 'nope':

It didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that my  second request to bring my missing child home to at least see us briefly during another school holiday would be denied. Although this young person was promised that (if they gave in to the other parent's relentless coercion and stayed with that parent) they could visit me "anytime they wanted." Once again, the reality of the situation is exposed when tested.
Even though I am, in actuality, on the receiving end of having my child truly "alienated" from me, I still maintain that the situation is not so much a child syndrome, rather a disorder that specific parent possesses.

Visit the SplitnTwo website for information on Parental Alienation and support!

Sunday school

Here are a couple lessons on the agenda to learn (although I never was a fan of Sunday school):

New Adventures of Old Christine

I love that TV show! And I can relate to the madness of post divorce life while still trying to raise kids from the marriage.
However, what is most madness educing is when the kids come back talking about details of the crazy boundaryless life at their dad's. Well, not so much madness I guess. Really, I am truly thinking "better her (the new wife) than me!"
I don't mind being "Old Christine." Sure, I am not #1 wife, but I am still #1 Mom!

6 word Saturday

I saw this clever idea here. Why not pass it on.

OK, the 1st 6 word Saturday entry...

Today is gorgeous. Off to BBQ!

Guess Who's Coming to Dinner?

You give up yet?
Well, I don't blame you. I never would have guessed either.
My ex-husband's parents are coming to dinner. You could have knocked me over with a feather when they called. I always knew they liked me better than their son {wink} but I haven't seen them in several years. I wonder if they know that one of their grandchildren will not be here. This ought to be interesting!

Now that's madness!
Wait, since their son and I are divorced -- does that mean they are my out-laws instead of in-laws?
